I’m back! Yes, after nearly 5 months, I’m attempting to get back to blogging. I have just been absolutely completely in love and busy with my new little fellow Maxwell. Who knew having a boy could be so unbelievable! We were blessed with Mr. Max in March and he is now four months old. Routine and pattern are starting to become words I use these days. I have been looking forward to getting back to my blog, in fact so much so, that I have a personal blog in the works!
In January, I got three emails from an eager young lady looking for an event planner for her Sweet 16 party. So I called her mom and she says, “Nia has been talking about your website and loves your work, we need you for a Sweet 16 for her and her brother!” From that moment, I knew this was going to be fun.
Nia and Malcolm are the sweetest (no pun intended) teenagers ever! When I met with them, my heart sang and I thought, I hope my children are as sweet and respectful as these two. You see, I do this little thing called event planning, not for the fame or fortune but because I absolutely love celebrating life’s precious moments. I.love.what.I.do! If I can make two 16 years teenagers dream come true… then well, that’s just amazing.
The twins had already come up with a theme for their party called, Sophisticated Superheroes! It was the perfect blend for the two of them. Nia the sophisticated young lady who loves a touch of bling and Malcolm the classic superhero expert who knows everything about every superhero that has ever lived. 😀 Now it was my job to turn this dream into a reality!
Here are a few photos from their party! The baby blue and purple satin linens with the bling wrapped vases were just gorgeous. I Want Ambiance lit up the house with purple and blue LED lights, and Capital Party Rentals erected a tent in the backyard complete with a fabric draped ceiling and string lights! Each twin had their own cake, provided by Tastefully Treated! The Flair Exchange created this gorgeous tissue tassel garland for the dessert table! Gorgeous checkerboard and chevron printed cake for Nia and a Dragon Ball Z, Spiderman, Naureto cake for Malcolm. Unfortunately, I left my camera at home, so these were taken with my iPhone.
I can’t wait for to do their weddings one day!
