Happy Monday!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything but we’ve been busy busy busy planning new and exciting things for 2012. With that said I’m ready to announce the 3rd Designer’s Challenge! I never would have thought that this would have so well received and so much fun. We already have challengers lined up for the 4th challenge already! These 1o designers are amazing and I’m so excited to see what they come up with. After thinking about this challenge and how to make it different, I wanted to create a theme that would allow each designer the flexibility to be as creative as their minds can take them. So…. I decided on “Favorite TV Show”. It could be from your childhood OR it could be your favorite show today…either way, I’m super excited about the shows that have been chosen thus far. This is going to make for some fabulous inspiration! Remember the budget for this challenge is $100!
Let’s Meet the Designers!
Modishly Delish Events is a way for me to provide my party styling creative side to those who need it. I am a mom, wife, and Fashion Designer who loves to cut, glue and sew materials in order to make something unique and wanted! I have always loved parties as my mom hosted and decorated some really great ones when I was a child, my favorite being a “My Little pony”, themed. More recently such as during the time I was planning my wedding I got to create a lot of DIY decor from menus and centerpieces to invitations and favors. It was something I truly enjoyed, loved and was good at. I focus a lot on the details even the smallest that make the most impression. One of my favorite sources for inspiration during my planning was HWTM, and at that time she was just starting her business. I don’t consider myself an event planner per say, as I prefer the actual creative process of it all rather than the logistics. I created the company as a side business for clients locally who trust in me to design their personal events. I also started the Modishly Delish blog last year, as a way to engage more with others with the same interests and expose what I love to do! “When I was told what the theme for this challenge was, I immediately knew what I was going to do and I am super excited to design something that blends both my passion for fashion and event styling.”

Tickled Peach Studio was started in August 2011 from a desire to begin a new path in my future. For as far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed planning. Whether it be a party, family vacation, or a holiday dinner I am in my element when I am planning! This passion has sparked my love for creating custom party designs and decor. I enjoy being inspired to create a whole party around one single theme or idea. In the midst of my always busy life, I am a wife to a fantastically supportive husband and a mother to a beautiful 2 year old little girl.
I am beyond honored to be a part of this challenge! I am looking forward to pushing my boundaries and to meeting the challenge of thinking outside the box.
Sweet Mady is an online boutique specializing in personalized gifts for children. The owner Michelle, a mom of three, started Sweet Mady in 2008 with just a few stationery designs. Four years later, Sweet Mady has grown to designing personalized tableware, apparel and gifts for children of all ages. Sweet Mady has been featured in Real Simple Magazine and Women’s World Magazine and is currently sold in retail stores both online and across the country.
I am beyond excited to be participating in this challenge. I am not a party planner or event stylist, so “challenge” is exactly what this is. I am a mom and designer who simply loves to throw a party and have fun doing it.
Mommy by day/Designer by night. I am determined to master the balance, one Starbucks at a time.
Libby Lane Press became a reality only 8 short months ago and has proven that when you do what you love, success is bound to follow. With only a handful of items in an Etsy shop and a blog I decided to give this party printables adventure a whirl. I am certain that what started as a quest for my son’s birthday invitation has forever changed my career path.
I am thrilled to be participating in the Designer’s Challenge to show that with creativity and inspiration, custom parties on a budget can be a reality.
