Question: What’s the difference between Escort cards and Place cards?

Let’s start of this week with a little clarification on the difference between Escort cards and Place cards for a wedding or event.  

An Escort card indicates the guest table assignment.  They are typically found on a welcome table at the front of the reception/event location.  A Place card is found at the table to indicate a precise seat assignment.  Yes, you can have both, however, if you prefer to not have both, a seating chart can be done in lieu of escort cards.
