It’s NEWS day! Today I want to welcome Nicolle Spitulnik from Libby Lane Press as a new Sparkling contributor! I had the great pleasure to spend some time with Nicolle in New York this month at the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s “Dreamers Into Doers” event and can I tell you what an absolutely JOY she is! We hit it off right away! Nicolle agreed to be a contributor before the event, so I was ecstatic to meet her in person. She is amazingly sweet, creative and talented. I’m so honored to have her share some of her wonderful thoughts and ideas here on The Sparkle Spot!

Nicolle was just your average stay-at-home mom on hiatus from teaching.
Being a lover of all things crafty and always having countless overlapping
projects, Nicolle was unable to just stay home and “enjoy this time” as
often directed by mothers with older children. Nicolle started tutoring in
the evening to stay connected to her ties to education and utilize that hard
earned Masters degree. Although, when the time arrived to start planning
her son’s first birthday, Nicolle scoured the internet for the perfect invitation
and inspirational party ideas. She found that perfect invitation on Etsy
and while doing so she also discovered a newfound love for design. After
chatting with gracious designers willing to share their industry expertise
and own personal journeys to starting a small business, Nicolle once again
jumped into her latest project and this was the beginning of Libby Lane
Libby Lane Press officially opened its doors at the beginning of June 2011
and has been thriving since. Nicolle’s Honeybee Gender Reveal Collection
was featured on Hostess with the Mostess in October and since then her
styled events and custom party printables continue to grace the pages of
noteworthy party blogs.
Nicolle was honored to be chosen as the Martha Stewart Doer of the Week
in November 2011 and looks forward to what the future holds for Libby Lane Press.
While this exciting and busy life brings Nicolle the creative outlet she
adores, her number one priorities in life are her supportive husband, Evan
and their two darling tots, Sophia and Cole.
