Where is the week going? I’m planning TWO events for this weekend and it’s been a whirlwind. I’ll post about that another time but let’s just say, I’ve been going to bed after 1am every night this week! However, I wanted to share some new bridal shower invitations. I began working on these back in May and I’m so happy with how they turned out. Pink & Green are my two favorite colors and you all know that I LOVE damask! So this project was really fun! :)
These are 5×7”, printed on pearlescent shimmer paper. They were mailed in personally addressed cream shimmer envelopes.
1st up the design:
Here they are printed. Just gorgeous! The green looks dark here but it’s not that dark in real life.
The shimmer just gives such an elegant upscale touch!
Here are a few different options that we came up during our design process.
Pink on Pink Damask
Do you love damask, these colors can change easily for your event. As a matter of fact a purple and lavender combination will be coming soon! We’d love to work with you on your next event! Contact us NOW, we are booking up quickly!!!!!!

It’s been an whirlwind of activity the last few weeks for me and it is not slowing down anytime soon! However, that is great for SED, so I’m not complaining.
I finally finished my daughter’s Alice in Wonderland birthday party invitations! If you remember I’ve been planning on having her an “Alice in Wonderland” themed party since February. I had a “brief” moment last month and almost changed my mind because I noticed an explosion of Alice in Wonderland themed stuff all of a sudden but I decided to stick it out and make it my own. It was my idea and I see a very popular one so I’m going with my initial plans. I tried to tune everything out so it wouldn’t influence my design and I think it came out really cute!
I have always known from the beginning that I wanted her invitation to be a “Pass” to Wonderland because I want her guest to feel like they are going to a destination. I also didn’t want to only focus on the “tea party” theme but more of the playing card theme. I think that this exceeds all my expectations!
Here is the design and I should have the printed invitations later on this week! I can’t wait to see them in professional print!
Back!

I’m so sorry I’m late on this but it has been super busy! I have a great event to plan that just fell into my lap that I have to plan in 10 days! Yes, 10 days!!! But it is a super fabulous and exciting event and I’m so glad that the hostess thinks I’m up for the challenge!
I hope to have more to post next week including some brand new invitations but for now, here is the lucky winner of the custom Java Jacket!

Today I’m excited to share some photographs from our 4th of July BBQ. As previously mentioned we had our daughter, Marley, dedicated at church on Sunday, so we decided on a “God Bless America and God Bless Marley” theme! It was such a wonderful and beautiful day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, not a cloud in sight. So here are a few pictures from the event. Details and inspiration credits given at the end!
The dessert table! This was the ONLY picture I got of the table because once it was set up, things went so quickly. I used the fabric I purchased to wrap a board for the background and red & white striped fabric for the tablecloth. For desserts we had french vanilla cupcakes with blue buttercream icing and red sprinkles. We also had ‘pink’ meringues because I couldn’t get them red enough with the food coloring. Very yummy! Pom poms were made out of tulle and netting by my mom.
The guest of honor, our Marley Cakes (as we call her because she’s so SWEET)
Here Marley sleeps with the assistant pastor through the whole ceremony! I’d rather have that then a screaming baby!
More pom poms because they are so pretty and we had them everywhere!
I really loved how my mom mixed the colors of the netting!
And finally the evening ended with a little poker!
Was a wonderful day ALL THE WAY AROUND!
Credits:
Tulle Pom Pom – The idea originally came from Jess from
Party Box Designs (aren’t Mommy’s the bestest!) My mom was already working on red, white and blue tutu’s for the girls (which they wouldn’t wear but I’ll share pictures of them tomorrow) so I told her about the tulle pom pom’s and she was all over it! Thanks
PBD!
Tent – Purchased from Walmart – I rented one last year that was smaller and I know that I’m going to need it for at least two more parties this year, so we went ahead and just bought one!
Decor – Sparkling Events & Designs, LLC – Made all the tags, signs, labels and invitations
Rentals – Tables and Chairs from Capital Party Rentals – as much as I use them I really need to invest in my own.
Linens – My own plus some accent fabric purchased from Joanne’s fabric.
Food – My hubby!
Centerpieces – Red
Blumeboxes (I love Blumeboxes to add a touch of color to any table inexpensively)
I’m running on empty! Two events back to back weekends and traveling to NYC this coming weekend… I need one day to do nothing but SLEEP! Here’s to the short week!!!
