It’s hard to believe that we launched in 2010 on this very day and it’s been 4 years! What a magnificent 4 years it has been. Around this time of the year, I typically reflect on the previous year and everything that I accomplished and didn’t accomplish. I tend to focus on all the things I wanted to do but didn’t. This year I feel a little bit differently. Last year, I took a break to have my beautiful baby boy, Maxwell. See that little banner. It was the very first Baby Bassinet Banner that The Purple Pug ever made. Unbelievably special! Our family is complete and so blessed. I’ve enjoy my time with my son more than I could have ever imagined. His “Maaaaa Maaaaa” makes my heart stop. I’m so glad that I took time to be present for all of the wonderful first with Max.
When I think about the past 4 years, I think about all of the many things that we have done and it has been an awesome road. It hasn’t been easy and it hasn’t all been peachy, but it has been wonderful! Right now, I’m in the process of finishing up my PowerSheets from Lara Casey and they have truly given me such a sense of purpose and direction…and I peace that I haven’t had in long time when it comes to my business. I’m so ready to Making Things Happen in 2014! Check out my Making Things Happen in 2014 Pinterest Board. If I could tell myself a few things to consider as I began this journey there are five things that come to mind:
In September, I had the most amazing opportunity, an opportunity of a lifetime really…. I was invited to meet Preston Bailey in his studio in September and it truly changed my life! I actually still can not believe that I had that opportunity, but God’s favour in my life is real and I’m so thankful for it. There is so much I can write about that experience but I will simply say that Preston Bailey IS an even more amazing person than I imagined he would be. The most important item that I took from my time with Preston is that I need to “trust my inner mentor”. We all have this “spirit” in us. You might call it God, you might call it your “gut” but we all have something within us that guides us. It leads us. If you are anything like me, you might not always trust that feeling and look for “outside” validation or opinions. In reality the outside validation is only telling you want you ALREADY know!
That’s me with Preston!!!! I love him!
So I’m excited about what this year has in store for me, my family and SED! I hope you will stick around for the ride!
Love & Focus are what will drive my year in 2014 , what words are guiding your year this year?
My motto for this year!
